Existing since 1932, the Ouwehands Zoo grew from a chicken farm into a well-respected educational animal park which focus on environmental change and conservation of endangered species. These brochures show the educational tone for the youngsters amongst its visitors: “chimp with banana” and the costs of 6000 Dutch Guilders on food per year for the baby elephant Rhena.
