Here’s an unlikely trio; two rubber moulds of Mary, mother of Jesus, accompanied by another rubber mould of a dildo. These moulds were found together like this, which poses questions of the comical and curious kind. It’s worth noting that both of the original Mary figurines from which the moulds were made were found inside their moulds still, whereas the dildo was acquired empty. What this implies is that the Mary moulds were not used to make multiple Marys, whereas the dildo could have been cast again and again and again, eternalising it forever.
