Collage is among the techniques that best express the feeling of fragmentation typical of our times: it brings unexpected things together, it generates meaning via decontextualisation, it connects distant temporalities, it recycles, it resemanticises, it layers. In the case of this home made example from Hungary, collage creates the illusion that what we are looking at is, in fact, real for the upper part of the girl’s body seamlessly fits the rest of the body.
