This album was made by a Bulgarian playground designer, comprising ‘Architectural Elements and Solutions’, as the Cyrillic title reads. The owner stored photographs for inspiration and sketches of his own playing structure designs in this book. What stands out is how reminiscent his creations are of the typical cold-war architectural playground style: thin metal frames coated in rainbow colors. Often, they would be the only splash of color in the midst of grey housing block deserts. But EU safety regulations keep wiping out these leftovers from a communist era.
