Every year during the 70s and 80s in Benidorm, a special vinyl record was produced that comprised of each summer’s most popular hits. This collection thus captures the sound of Benidormian summers for roughly nine years. These Benidorm vinyls were namely popular with tourists as holiday souvenirs. Think of them like aural-postcards; location-stamped and dated. Pop the record on wherever you are and be transported back to the golden age of the Spanish package holiday. Ironically, the 1976 and 1980 record covers feature the same photograph. So much for having a unique souvenir of the year.
