These mid-century dice shaped peppers mills were produced in France by a few different companies, namely Peugeot and Marlux. However, this specimen is unbranded and therefore hard to trace. Unlike many other dice pepper mills from the time, this one has dots—or pips to give them their proper name—made of inlaid mother of pearl and the handle is complete with a real dice. Most other mills of this design were finished with a plain knob handle and the dice’s pips either painted or inlaid wood.
