Despite being full of smiling faces, this very large puzzle of the 1982 Dutch national football team is tinged with melancholy. 1982 was the year that the Netherlands failed to qualify for the World Cup in Spain and had some dismal years following this. That said, whoever this puzzle previously belonged to had clearly been very attached to the team, as they glued the whole thing together, in an attempt to preserve it for eternity.
