An album depicting the 1951 holiday of what seems to be an Austrian couple enjoying their time in Marburg, Germany with friends. We see one image of their party at the Brunnenfest—Fountain Festival—which is a traditional celebration held in the market square of Brunnen, Marburg. The fountain at the centre of the square has been there since the 15th century and functioned originally as a court. It underwent various renovations and redesigns, but has remained the same since 1951. Perhaps this is why our Austrian pair were visiting.
