Maths was introduced in Poland much later than in most other Western countries, but over the centuries, Polish mathematicians have influenced the course of world history like no others. From Copernicus and his revolutionary heliocentric theory, to Marian Rejewski, who broke the German Enigma cipher machine in 1932. The mathematics community really flourished in Poland in the 20th century. And since 95% of its population is catholic, it was only a matter of time for science and religion to come together to produce this wonderfully geometrical work of art.
