HANDMADE DISPLAY OF A CUTLERY SALESMAN

ITALY - 1960s EA/IT/0001

Somewhere at a salty-aired marketplace in 1960s Sicily stood a man selling tableware and now this is what remains of his story. This 80cm tall plank of wood with samples of different sets and sizes of silverware nailed into it functioned as a display for our cutlery salesman. There are dessert and tea spoons (big and small), one large sauce ladle and many mismatched forks which you can identify by the handle designs and varying spindly-ness of the prongs.
