A wooden board with slots for an assortment of masses. Balance weights were often made of brass, though these look to be made from aluminium, discovered by the Danish mid-19th century. Initially, aluminium was more expensive than gold, until technological advances leading up to the turn of the century made the material a common sight. These weights, assuming their unit is grams, are fairly small. Suitable for perhaps an apothecary.
