It seems a bit odd to name a toy gun ‘baby’, but let’s imagine Jouet de Paris—JeP for short—the producers, were thinking of the size of it. This pocket sized, delicately thin metal gun was a working toy. It’s possible to load the gun by putting small powder filled paper pads into it, which make a small shooting sound when the trigger is pulled. JeP started producing children’ metal toys in 1906 in Paris, after WWII they started to manufacture in plastic. They mainly made trains, planes and dolls. The company shut down in 1968.
