At first glance, these nine oversized prints seem to be attempting to document how to wear this old diving suit—or to give it its proper name—standard diving dress. Closer inspection makes it more likely that the images were sales photos; almost every image includes a ruler for size comprehension. As well as shots of the waterproofed-canvas suit and (likely) copper helmet, the weighted belt is also presented. Yet most remarkable is the surface-supply oxygen box and wheel, which could even be mistaken as harbour ephemera to the unknowing eye.
