The Robot Orchestra was a sensational travelling exhibition by the F.N.C.P.G. (National federation of fighters and war prisoners). It was made up of three musicians: Oskar on accordeon, Ernest on saxophone and Anatole on drums and vocals. They had a repertoire of about 500 songs and functioned with an optical electronic brain. The clenching of their fingers was achieved with relays and 24 volts electro-magnets. Edouard R.Diomgar developed the idea for this robot orchestra as a prisoner in a german war camp. Until 1984 these robots could be seen in France, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
