“Beware the dog!”, reads each of these signs. Often found tucked in a window sill or bolted to a fence, these signs are a warning: this house is guarded. The dog breeds selected to instil fear in passers-by are the usual German Shepards, Dobermanns or Rottweilers, though some variation can be found depending on the country. One of these Italian signs, however, uses a very rare breed: the Colt Python, a .357 Magnum calibre revolver.
