1957, a factory somewhere in Hungary produces steel tubes. Someone photographs the production lines and makes a photo album. Maybe it’s a commission from the owner. Maybe it’s a worker desiring to produce a record for their families. The choice is a turquoise horizontal leather booklet with grey pages bound by a red string. The result is a visual documentation of a site usually hidden from sight, an archive for both the history of photography and the history of the industry
