Chances are that someone inadvertedly placed a hot object right on top of this photograph. Picture a family meeting with old and new generations exchanging stories about the war heroes they descended from, refering to photos to match faces with deeds. But picture also that the coffee machine that was used to pour liquid happiness during the gathering left a literal mark. Pure speculation, but fundamentally nothing wrong with imagining possible scenarios: that’s what we call history, after all.
