The ball unites the team, but singing unites the supporters, the team of K. Beerschot must have thought. To help them sing along, the Antwerp soccer club, founded in 1899, created this vinyl in 1986. Categorised under ‘Europop’, the record contains songs that must have been absolute classics for the in-crowd, such as ‘Den Beerschot’ version one and two, but also more obscure songs, such as ‘Met je Toyota ben je goed op weg’ (translation: in your Toyota, you’re on the right track). Laymen like us can only guess where that track was going.
